P<\/strong>ROD<\/strong>U<\/strong>C<\/strong>T DESCRIPTION<\/strong><\/p>\n

LOCTITE 3541 is a reactive hot-melt adhesive based on polyurethane prepolymers.\u00a0 \u00a0The adhesive is pressure sensitive and gives a high initial strength instantly after joining the parts. Additionally it has a long open time to be suitable for automatic or manual assembly line.<\/p>\n

P<\/strong>r<\/strong>e<\/strong>t<\/strong>re<\/strong>a<\/strong>t<\/strong>ment<\/strong><\/p>\n

The bonding surfaces must be clean, dry and free of oil and grease.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Substrate temperature \u00a0should not fall below 20degC during application.\u00a0 \u00a0Lower temperatures will lead to and early solidification of the adhesive and thus to a reduced open time, possibly the adhesive might even flake off. \u00a0If necessary the substrates may be preheated, however longer open times and thus extended \u00a0cycle times \u00a0will have\u00a0 to be taken \u00a0into consideration at temperatures above 45degC.<\/p>\n

Ap<\/strong>p<\/strong>lic<\/strong>a<\/strong>ti<\/strong>on<\/strong><\/p>\n

LOCTITE \u00a03541 can be applied \u00a0from heatable \u00a0cartridge \u00a0guns, from \u00a0usual \u00a0syringe \u00a0type \u00a0melting \u00a0equipment.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0At \u00a0longer \u00a0rest periods melting and application temperatures should be decreased.\u00a0 \u00a0Longer exposure to higher temperatures \u00a0can lead to a viscosity increase.<\/p>\n

C<\/strong>u<\/strong>r<\/strong>i<\/strong>ng<\/strong><\/p>\n

LOCTITE \u00a03541 \u00a0cures \u00a0exclusively \u00a0by \u00a0moisture \u00a0and \u00a0gains \u00a0its final strength after 1-5 days, but exhibits high handling strength instantly after joining.<\/p>\n

Curing \u00a0is \u00a0a \u00a0chemical \u00a0reaction \u00a0depending\u00a0 \u00a0on \u00a0the \u00a0following
